Thursday, June 9, 2016 - 13:00

Andree Shore is inaugurating the UCT’s Business Book Club.

Participants will gather monthly to discuss and understand the classic and the new business books. Our goal will be to share thoughts about the themes, and how they relate to our current business environment, chal-lenges and trends. As well, after the meeting we will blog discussion insights for future reflection.

The first meeting will be June 9, discussing Dan Ariely's book, “Predictably Irrational: The Hidden Forces that Shape our Decisions”. It offers brilliant insights that apply to everyday life as much as to business. If you don’t have time to read the book before the meeting, here's a link to his TED talk and another to info about the book. At this first meeting we will exchange suggestions for books to read next year and we will publish the list soon after for summer reading! Please join us, bring a guest, and lots of ideas and anecdotes! Charge is $12 which includes a snack and a glass of wine or other drink of your choice.

Time: Gather right after work, on Thursday June 9, at 5:00.

Talks begin at 5:30 - 6:30, networking and discussions until 7:00.
